La pasión asesina e insana llevada a su extremo más carnal
💡 ¿Qué significa realmente el desenlace?
In the climax, Gloria and her cannibalistic lover Michel descend into a frenzied, blood-soaked ritual of mutual consumption and orgasmic violence, literally devouring each other’s flesh in a remote cabin until both collapse in a grotesque, sticky embrace. The film ends on their intertwined corpses, half-eaten and smiling in grotesque ecstasy. Symbolically, the ending portrays love as a fatal, devouring disease: passion stripped of all romance until it becomes pure carnal horror, where erotic fulfillment and self-annihilation are the same act. Du Welz offers no redemption, only a savage punchline that human intimacy, taken to its logical extreme, is nothing but meat devouring meat.
