💡 What does the ending really mean?

In the climax, Cristina confronts the possessed David inside his half-built horror theme park, where he attempts to sacrifice her as the star attraction to salvage his cheap terror empire. She bludgeons him to death with a prop axe, triggering the collapse of the entire flimsy set on top of his body. Symbolically, the ending celebrates the triumph of raw, authentic love through brutal violence over hollow, commercialized horror. The park's implosion stands as a savage metaphor for contemporary Spanish cinema: an empty facade of cheesy effects and vacant ambition, only redeemable by sincere destruction. Love doesn't win romantically; it simply murders the fraud.
