"Frank Langella lives in a state of cinematic Russian roulette. Capable of touching absolute magnetism with a 6.8, only to crash into 6.8 trainwrecks that leave us wondering if they read the script before cashing the check. Undeniable talent, questionable compass."
Polanski delivers a gothic thriller with more dust than demons, where Johnny Depp wanders through pages even he can’t decipher. A cursed masterpiece or just another pretentious tome gathering cobwebs on the shelf?
