When Turkish Hell Spits Fulci in Your Face (And We Love It)

Ending explained of Baskin (2015)

💡 What does the ending really mean?

In the climax, a police squad trapped in a derelict building is dragged into a nightmarish, blood-soaked underworld where they are ritually tortured, raped, and mutilated by demonic cultists and a grotesque, obese devil figure. The sole survivor, Arda, is forced to murder his own father in a hellish ceremony before being crowned the new “king” of this infernal realm. The ending reveals the entire ordeal was both a cyclical prophecy and a birth: Arda has always been destined to rule this Turkish hell, turning the cop into its eternal, smiling tyrant. Symbolically it means innocence is a lie, trauma is hereditary, and hell doesn’t conquer you; it simply reminds you that you were born from it and will reign in it. Pure Fulci-style cosmic damnation with a Turkish sneer.
