💡 What does the ending really mean?

In the climax of Mickey 17, the two surviving clones confront each other inside the collapsing Niflheim base as native creatures overrun the colony. Instead of fighting, Mickey 17 and 18 join forces, expose the “expendable” cloning system as institutionalized mass murder, trigger the wholesale destruction of the cloning tanks, and surrender to the aliens, who only grant coexistence after humanity abandons its technological dominance. Symbolically the ending is a cold, precise execution of anti-capitalist logic: the clone ceases to be disposable meat and becomes the revolutionary subject whose very multiplicity shatters the monopoly on death that sustained the system. Acceptance of obsolescence is revealed as the only weapon capable of dismantling the machine that demands it. Bong’s final frozen, soundless shot of snow burying the wreckage leaves no hope or despair, only the ruthless clarity of a logic fulfilled.
