Onslaught

Adam Wingard’s *Onslaught* functions less as a traditional narrative and more as a high-octane exercise in kinetic violence, where the thematic weight of motherhood is stripped down to its most primal, lethal instinct. The film explores the terrifying intersection of parental protection and military lethality, positing that love, when amplified by specialized training, can become an unstoppable force of nature. The climax maintains a relentless, breathless tone, eschewing emotional catharsis for pure, chaotic spectacle; it is a visceral, adrenaline-fueled crescendo where the boundary between hero and monster blurs entirely, leaving the audience with a sense of exhausted, hollow triumph rather than genuine resolution.
